Nova Scotia Gymnasts Golden at Atlantics

 
Team Nova Scotia had an impressive 22 gold medals at the Atlantic Gymnastics Championships held in Charlottetown, PEI this past weekend.  There were 50 gymnasts from Team Nova Scotia in the male & female categories.  Winning medals in the All Around category were:

Brittany Pettigrew - Silver (Nov 3)
Kyrsten Landry - Silver (Open 2)
Meike Rotermund - Bronze (Open 4)
Emma Dean - Silver (Tyro 2)

Atlantic Gymnastics Championships 2010

UPEI, Charlottetown, PEI April 23-24, 2010


Bulletin #01
The Canadian Gymnastics Championships 2011 organizing committee is pleased to present the Atlantic Provinces’ premier event, Atlantic Gymnastics Championships 2010.
We want to invite Atlantic Provinces to take the opportunity to send all your champion gymnasts to this event. We want to send out a special invitation to all your gymnasts and coaches who are looking forward to competing at the Canadian Championships 2011; Come to Atlantics 2010 and compete in the venue that will be used for artistic gymnastics. This will be our “test event” for Canadian Championships 2011.

Competition dates:  Friday, April 23 & Saturday, April 24, 2010.
Location:   Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre, UPEI, 550 University Avenue, Charlottetown, PE               http://www.upei.ca/misc/map.pd

Bookings must be made prior to March 22/2010 to receive the special rate of $102.00 / standard room with maximum of 4 occupants. When booking use the reference “Atlantic Gymnastics Championships 2010”.

RegistrationFor eligibility rules and regulations, see Atlantic Union Policy Manual, Appendix #1,  Atlantic Championships.
Registration package will be circulated with Bulletin #2 , March 1, 2010.
Registration fee of $70.00(includes the banquet) must be paid for all delegation members (athletes, coaches, managers and chef de mission). All registration paid by cheque must be payable to Island Gymnastics Academy.
***Full registration for all delegates must be received by email, fax or in hand by Tuesday, April 5, 2010.  No province will be allowed to compete without full payment prior to the start of the competition. Refunds as per AUPM. ***  

Schedule:  Draft schedule will be circulated to you upon receipt of the “Intention to Compete” from all four provinces.
Finalized schedule will be circulated immediately upon receipt of all registration.

Judges: Each province is responsible to provide a minimum of two (2) judges for the men’s competition and three (3) judges for the women’s competition.  We request you submit your judges names and qualifications to us now if possible, or before February 15, 2010.

Bulletin #2  Including the latest schedule, social events, meetings, what to see and do on PEI  will be circulated to you by March 1, 2010.
